The Penn Glee Club was well-established by the time the Gazette—a mere 110 this year—arrived on the scene as Old Penn. Shown here is a sampling of coverage over the years: a front-page article in Old Penn (then still a weekly newspaper) on the “Combined Musical Clubs,” in which the Glee Club was the leading member, along with the now sadly defunct Banjo and Mandolin Clubs; the June 1962 issue, with a cover story on a Glee Club excursion to Gettysburg to tape Civil War songs for a TV special; and our May|June 2000 tribute to Bruce Montgomery on the occasion of his retirement after 50 years at Penn. —J.P.
