From fresh food to well-preserved artifacts: What’s building now.

The latest additions to the campus include venues for food, film, and fitness, academic and research facilities, a renovated home for Penn’s lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender community and a new one for Penn’s Jewish community, and a new building for the Penn-assisted neighborhood public school. They are pictured as follows:

(1) “The Bridge” movie theater complex, scheduled to open by the end of 2002; (2) the Dental School’s Schattner Center; (3) The FreshGrocer supermarket and food court; (4) steel frame for the future Hillel building; (5, 6) Huntsman Hall, the Wharton School’s center for management education; (7) Levine Hall, which will house the Department of Computer and Information Science; (8) the Carriage House, headquarters for the LGBT Center; (9) the University Museum’s Mainwaring Wing and Stoner Courtyard; (10) The Pottruck Health & Fitness Center; (11, 12) classroom building and playground equipment for the Penn-assisted school at 42nd Street.
