Had the Ivy League Tournament not been cancelled, the senior guard would have almost certainly become the 42nd member of the program’s 1,000-point club. He ranked second on the team in scoring the last two seasons, behind AJ Brodeur.

The points-per-game average of freshman Kayla Padilla, who burst onto the scene for the women’s basketball team. Only Princeton center Bella Alarie—one of the best players in league history—had a higher scoring average in the Ivies. Padilla, the Ivy League Rookie of the Year, ranked sixth nationally in scoring among all freshmen.

New coaches hired by Penn over a four-day stretch in late March. Meredith Schamun was tapped to lead the women’s volleyball program after assistant coaching stints at Villanova, Tulane, and UCF. Casey Brown will take over the women’s soccer team fresh off being named the 2019 Patriot League Coach of the Year while at Holy Cross.

Years John Ceralde spent at Penn before resigning from his position as head women’s gymnastics coach on March 19. He was the team’s assistant coach from 2001–06, before serving as head coach for the past 14 seasons. His teams won five Ivy Classic titles, the most recent one coming this February.
