Less than a year after he was recruited from the U.S. Marine Corps to work for Penn, General Clifford Stanley has resigned from his post as executive vice president. Stanley, who had oversight over the University’s business and administrative functions as well as community initiatives, stepped down on October 10.

“I wish General Stanley all the best as he pursues other opportunities,” President Judith Rodin CW’66 said in a statement. There are no immediate plans to replace him, and vice presidents who reported to Stanley will report directly to Rodin until the end of her presidential term on June 30. “We have much to accomplish during this period, and I believe that this structure will serve us well.”
