Bennett Hall, home of the English department, will be renamed Fisher-Bennett Hall in recognition of a leadership gift from Richard Fisher C’63 G’67, a former trustee and overseer of the School of Arts and Sciences. The 80-year-old building is undergoing $21 million in renovations, including the creation of new seminar rooms and an undergraduate study center, soundproofing, and improved heating and cooling systems.

Once the renovations are completed, the building will also house the new cinema-studies program and provide additional space for the music department.
