1930s

Dr. Samuel Heiman, ChE’30, Gr’48, past national president of the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishing Society, was recently elected a fellow, one of 38 in this society with a membership of about 10,000. The honor was awarded in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of the science and technology of surface-finishing, and for leadership in the dissemination of this knowledge. A national honorary member of the society, he has published many papers and holds several patents in this field. And after retirement as head of the plating and coatings section of General Electric’s Missile and Space Division, he served in the International Executive Service Corps.

1940s

Edward Hamburg, W’49, Cherry Hill, N.J., has retired from Gloucester County College, where he was a professor in business studies. He was awarded the Citizens Medallion for service to the college and the county. Having chaired the college’s Awards and Scholarship Committee for 20 years, Barnes and Noble honored him with the establishment of a continuing business scholarship in his name.

1950s

Dr. Lionel D. Wyld, C’50, Gr’59, wrote The Navy in Newport, a pictorial history tracing the U.S. Navy’s presence in the harbor of Newport, R.I., from Colonial times to after the Second World War. It was published by Arcadia Publishing, an imprint of the British house Chalford Publishing Corp., in its Images of America series.

Arthur J. Greenbaum, W’52, is senior partner of the intellectual-property group at the New York City law firm of Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman. He was awarded the first Pattishall Medal for Teaching Excellence of Trademark and Trade Identity Subjects at the International Trademark Association meeting in May. In 1991, he retired as an adjunct professor of law at New York University, where he taught trademark law for many years.

Sonya Friedman, CW’53, New York City, is the librettist and videomaker of Memoirs of Uliana Rooney, a chamber opera with video-projections, that tells the story of a fictional American composer who humorously confronts startling changes in society from the avant-garde 1920s to the present-day. This 65-minute piece was staged at Penn’s Annenberg Center in February and March, and presented by Relache the Ensemble, in collaboration with American Opera Projects. Sonya is the originator and writer/producer of opera subtitles for television productions of operas, from 1976 to today; she is the principal writer of the subtitles for The Metropolitan Opera Presents and Live from Lincoln Center. Since 1983, she has also written and produced supertitles for opera companies throughout the country, including the Met, New York City Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Seattle Opera. She has written, directed, and produced a number of other works for film and television in the U.S. and Europe.

Dr. Ruth Rothschild, CW’53, New York City, writes that she had two one-woman shows of her paintings in New York this year.

Dr. Gail Holmgren Bickford, G’56, Gr’72, Freedom, N.H., ghb@worldpath.net, writes that after three years with an economic-development council in her local community, she received a grant (originating from the Ford Foundation), to raise her desktop-publishing business into “a real business that can offer jobs to community members. I am now searching for books to publish and personnel to learn the craft of graphic design, editing, and research — will welcome any opportunities to help current graduate students.”

Ira Tiger, W’56, L’59, e-mails “My wife and I have five children (one a Penn graduate) and five grandchildren (ages one to seven). Unlike my retiring classmates, I am still engaged in full-time employment — as a senior partner in the Philadelphia law firm of Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis, where I have been working for the past 37 years.”

Dr. Gerard J. Brault, Gr’58, the Edwin Erle Sparks Professor of French and Mediaeval Studies at Pennsylvania State University, edited Rolls of Arms of Edward I, 1272-1307, a two-volume work published in April by the Society of Antiquaries of London. Rolls of arms began to be compiled in the 13th century to keep track of coats of arms, then proliferating among Western European knightry and nobility.

1960s

Alexander E. Fisher, W’62, Bridgewater, Conn., has opened a new office in New York and Florida, A. Fisher Co., Inc., which provides outsourced risk-management services. His daughter, Abby, is receiving her master’s in special education this year, while Leigh Fisher, C’95, is attending NYU to obtain a master’s in social work, and Ruth will be entering the freshman class of Tulane.

Dr. Robert M. Bliss, C’65, e-mails that after 28 years in England, 27 spent at teaching at Lancaster University, he and his wife, Paulette, moved back to the USA. In August, Bob took up his new post as dean of the Pierre Laclede Honors College at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. At Lancaster, where he was also principal of Grizedale College, he directed degree programs in independent studies and American studies. His book, Revolution and Empire: English Politics and the American Colonies in the Seventeenth Century, won the 1993 Distinguished Book Award from the Society of Colonial Wars, a prize previously won by Drs. Richard S. Dunn and Mary Maples Dunn, Hon’95, “a pleasing coincidence” — while Bliss was at Penn, Dr. Dunn was his academic adviser.

Dr. Robert I. Rudolph, C’67, M’71, Wyomissing, Pa., has been promoted to clinical professor of dermatology at Penn. He is the author or co-author of more than 50 publications.

1970s

William W. Jones, C’70, in the spring stage-managed performances at the Annenberg Center of Memoirs of Uliana Rooney, a new 65-minute, multimedia, chamber opera, by composer Vivian Fine and librettist Sonya Friedman, CW’53. The work was presented by the Philadelphia-based group, Relache the Ensemble, in collaboration with American Opera Projects, which is devoted to the development and presentation of new American opera, and based in New York City’s SoHo district, near New York University, where Bill is a faculty member of the Division of Libraries. (Sonya is the originator and writer/producer of opera subtitles, for television, and of supertitles for live productions.)

Dr. Michael A. O’Connell, W’70, has earned his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Washington. He has a practice in Everett, Wash., specializing in the evaluation and treatment of sexual deviancy. He co-authored Working With Sex Offenders (Sage 1990). He recently received the Graduate Research Award of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers for his study, “Using Polygraph Testing to Assess the Deviant Sexual History of Sex Offenders.” He lives in Seattle with his wife, Lee Nelson.

Ralph Walter, C’70, was promoted to chief financial officer in July at International CompuTex, Inc., a software-technology company in Atlanta that completed its initial public offering in May 1997, trading on the NASDAQ national market under the symbol ICIQ.

William J. Moses, L’71, has been appointed vice president for broadcasting, cable and sports, at IBM in White Plains, N.Y. He is also in charge of the worldwide marketing of products and services to the cable industry.

Rebecca L. Binder, CW’73, Playa del Rey, Calif., is an architect whose firm last year completed the student-union building at UCLA. A volume profiling a number of her buildings was published in 1995 by Rockport Publishers in its Contemporary World Architects series.

Merrill-Jean Bailey, G’75, Voorhees, N.J., received tenure at Atlantic Community College in September 1996. She now serves as the chair of the English department there.

Dr. Valerie J. Hoffman CW’75, is associate professor of religion (Islam) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where in October 1996 she was named University Scholar. This is a recognition of excellence in research, and includes a three-year grant to be used for research purposes. She published Sufism, Mystics, and Saints in Modern Egypt with the University of South Carolina Press in 1995.

David L. Hyman, C’75, married Farah M. Jimenez, C’90, L’97, on September 28. David, an attorney, is a partner with Kleinbard, Bell and Brecker, a law firm in Philadelphia, where he has a government relations and litigation practice. Farah is a project manager for the Community Builders, a nonprofit real estate and economic-development consulting firm specializing in affordable housing.

Alan Behr, C’76, has been promoted to vice president in charge of legal affairs for GT Interactive Software Corp. He lives in New York City and is also a freelance writer and photographer.

Richard S. Cohen, W’78, and Lisa Lapidus Cohen, C’77, e-mail that the Cohen family move to the “left coast.” With their three children, Meryl (10), Rachel (eight), and Daniel (three), they have relocated from South Orange, N.J., to Lafayette, Calif. Dick has become a managing director at Bank of America in San Francisco. “We are still planning to attend our 20th year Reunion next year.”

Kathy Sklar Ordan, C’79, is happy to report the birth of her second child, Rachel Harry Ordan, on May 15. Mother, father, and big sister are all having fun with a baby again.

Paul Provenza, C’79, Voidist@aol.com, e-mails that he is starring in the national tour of Steve Martin’s award-winning and critically acclaimed play, Picasso at the Lapin Agile. “The play, which was a hit in New York and San Francisco (where it broke box-office records), is like its comic-genius author: Very, very funny and playful, and smart and poetic all at the same time. It depicts a fictitious encounter between the young genius painter, Picasso (played by myself), and the young physicist, Albert Einstein, at a cafe in Paris … The action takes place just before Einstein has published his Special Theory of Relativity and Picasso has painted his ground-breaking Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, and is a reflection on the nature, elusiveness and serendipity of genius. I would like to arrange group rates and alumni discounts for Penn alums for this production.” It will be staged in a number of cities, including three-week runs in Los Angeles in late January and Fort Lauderdale in late February and two-week runs in West Palm Beach in late March and Toronto in late April.

1980s

Marla Kravatz, W’80, who owns a consulting company specializing in Ross accounting and payroll software, recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of the company. She lives in Mill Valley, Calif., with her husband, David Ragsdale, and daughter, Julia, who was born in October 1996.

Ruey-Chorng Liou, GEE’81, Broomall, Pa., has just published Little C++ (Made Easy), under the name Ray Leo.

Pamela Ludin, W’81, is living in Pittsburgh with her husband, Dr. Stewart N. Abramson, and their two sons Matthew (five) and Ethan (three). “Currently I am working from my home-based office providing management-accounting services to medical group practices as well as working with Bookminders, Inc., a network of home-based accountants. After completing my term as Pittsburgh Chapter president of the American Society of Women Accountants, I now serve on the National Board of the American Society of Women Accountants.”

Dr. Michael Alec Rose, C’81, G’82, Nashville,associate professor of composition in the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University, was awarded a Vanderbilt Chair of Teaching Excellence in April; since he joined the faculty there in 1986, he has been honored several times for his teaching, and he has consistently received a number of national awards for his compositions.

Armando Bengochea, C’82, who completed his Ph.D. at Princeton in political science, is associate dean of the College at Brown University. Since the day after their graduation from Penn, he has been married to Julia Egan Bengochea, C’82, who works in admissions at Brown. They have two children, ages 11 and five.

Linda P. Falcao, C/W’82, L’85, writes to announce the formation of her new law firm, Salmanson & Falcao, in Philadelphia, continuing her practice of employment discrimination and ERISA law. Linda writes that she is also represented by ICM, the entertainment agency in Los Angeles and New York City, for her fiction and screenplays.

David Greene, C’82, San Francisco, dgreene@etrade.com, and his wife, Dr. Beatrice Burke, an obstetrician-gynecologist in private practice, are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, Noah Harris, on June 19. David is a senior product manager at E*Trade, an Internet-brokerage company.

Lauren Marcus, C’82, is “excited to announce the formation of Marcus Public Relation, Inc., a marketing-communications company. My clients are an eclectic group” that include MediZine, Inc. (the company that created the MediZine Guidebook), Share: Self-Help for Women with Breast and Ovarian Cancer, and several wholesale-jewelry companies and not-for-profit healthcare-related companies. “Since I went out on my own (tentatively, at first), the key to my growth has been word-of-mouth referrals.”

Nancy Wein, C’82, New York City, and her husband, Daniel Baldwin, C’65, announce the birth of their daughter, Julia, on July 7; she joins Dan’s sons, Matt (16) and Josh (13).

Dr. Paul Zukoff, C’82, and Mimi Preiser Zukoff, C’81, live in Summit, N.J. They have two boys, Sam (nine) and Benjy (five). Paul , an internist, is the medical director of Overlook Primary Care Associates, a faculty-practice internal-medicine group.

Audrey Levin McLaughlin, C’83, and her husband, Tom, “gleefully left New York City last year to begin a joyful (and quieter!) life in Lee, Mass., in the heart of the Berkshires.” Audrey teaches self-disovery programs and fundraises for the Kripalu Center in Lenox, Mass., and Tom opened Artform, a furniture-restoration business in Great Barrington.

Dr. Ruth Rosenberg, C’83, and her husband, Dr. Bennett Levitan, GEng’87, Gr’94, M’95, have a daughter, Daniella Rosenberg Levitan, born December 12, 1995. “We are currently enjoying sunny New Mexico as my husband completes a post-doctoral fellowship in applied molecular evolution at the Santa Fe Institute. I am working at a private mental- health corporation as a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist.”

Steve Shoyer, EAS’83, Wayland, Mass., and his wife, Debbie Horwitz, announce the birth of Claire Samantha Shoyer, their first child, on May 30.

Rande Anmuth Simpson, C’83, and her husband, Dan, announce the birth of their daughter, Morgan Alice, on September 14. Baby and parents reside at Jekyll Island, Ga.

David A. Grassetti, C’84, is director of capital investments at Pioneer Investment Poland, making venture capital investments in high-growth companies there. “I’ve been in Poland, mostly in Warsaw but also some time in Krakow, for four years and came originally as a volunteer member of the MBA Enterprise Corps.”

Jon Dukes-Schlossberg, EAS’84, e-mails that he and his wife, Jan, announce the birth of their second daughter, Rachel, on May 5. The family, which also includes almost three-year-old Sarah, lives in Palo Alto, Calif.

Dr. John C. Hawley, Gr’85, is associate professor of English at Santa Clara University. He recently edited two books: Christian Encounters with the Other (NYU Press and Macmillan London, 1997), and The Postcolonial Crescent: Islam’s Impact on Contemporary Literature (Peter Lang, 1997).

Cheri Rosoff Kalman, C’85, Livingston, N.J., a treasury manager in foreign exchange with Lucent Technologies, and her husband, Robert Kalman, a quality-assurance manager in direct-mail advertising, announce the birth of their son, Jonathan Harris, on March 5.

John Sturrock, GL’85, Edinburgh, is the first director of training and education at the Faculty of Advocates in Scotland, responsible for the introduction of advocacy-skills training to the Scottish Bar. The program which he established won an award for the best use of training in the legal profession in the U.K. last year. He has also been appointed to the newly established Judicial Studies Committee, which is responsible for the training of judges in Scotland. In the past two years, he has taught in the advocacy-teacher training program at Harvard University. He and his wife, Fiona, have three children, Jennifer, David, and Michael.

Tracey Griffins Amos, C’86, WG’93, in July was promoted to manager in the government-consulting practice of the Washington, D.C., office of Coopers & Lybrand, LLP; her focus is business-process reengineering and activity-based costing. She joined C & L in 1993 as a member of their financial-advisory services practice. Tracey and her husband, Charles Amos, EAS’84, WG’92, live in Silver Spring, Md.; Charles is currently an associate with the management-consulting firm, Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc., in McLean, Va.

Charles J. Downey III, W’86, in July became a partner at Finn Dixon & Herling LLP, a corporate-law firm specializing in M&A, venture capital, and corporate transactions, based in Stamford, Conn. He currently lives in Riverside, with his wife, Christina, who is a matrimonial attorney, and their children, Brian (three) and Megan, who was born on January 10.

George A. Glinsky, C’86, Atlanta, e-mails that after a six-month honeymoon to Israel, in 1996 he started Bridge Consulting, Inc., that serves do-it-yourself retailing and manufacturing clients. His father passed away in 1997 and his first baby, Shlomo Menachem Mendel Glinsky, was born on June 15.

Lt. Cdr. Martin Keutel, C/G/W’86, was reassigned in March from USS Tarawa, homeported in San Diego, to the Navy Staff in Washington D.C., currently serving in the strategic-planning division of the Navy’s Space, Information Warfare, Command, and Control Directorate. He lives in Alexandria, Va.

Ellen Kushner, C’86, and Dr. Kenneth Adelman, C’84, had their first child, Liliana Blythe Adelman, on June 13. Last spring they moved to Arlington, Mass., from Ann Arbor, Mich., after Ellen received her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan. “At present, I am self-employed. Ken is a psychiatrist and currently works at Lahey-Hitchcock Medical Center. He is also an assistant clinical professor at Tufts University School of Medicine.”

Richard McNulty, EAS/W’86, e-mails to announce that he and his wife, Neely Holt McNulty, had a baby girl on Easter Sunday, March 30. Her name is Lillian Mason McNulty. “The three of us currently live in Belmont, Mass., where Mason spends her time napping, cooing, and doing the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle.”

Leib J. Kaminsky, C’88, Washington, D.C., is development director of Earth Conservation Corps, a non-profit environmental group that works with disadvantaged youth to help rehabilitate the natural and urban environment, in Washington, D.C., and with five Native American tribes in the Pacific Northwest.

Karen Levine, C’88, e-mails that she recently got married and moved from Boston to Washington, D.C., where she is a magazine writer and editor.

Adam H. Miller, W’88, and his wife, Michelle, live in Rye Brook, N.Y., with their daughter, Marissa Jordyn Miller, who was born on June 18, 1996. Adam is executive vice president of Capital Properties, a Manhattan-based real estate development and investment firm that owns properties throughout the East Coast.

Dr. Jonathan Rees, C’88, e-mails that in June, he received a Ph.D. in American history at the University of Wisconsin — Madison. This fall, he began teaching at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

David L. Richter, EAS/W’88, L’92, was recently appointed president of R4 Holdings, LLC, his family’s investment holding company. He was also elected to the board of directors of Advantix, Inc., an entertainment ticketing-services company which is R4’s principal equity investment.

David Salis, EAS’88, Jerusalem, e-mails that after working for four years as a computer programmer in Arlington, Va., he “went to Israel, learning in yeshiva there fulltime for 3 1/2 years. Since then I have made aliya to Israel. I currently am working in the area of quality assurance for a software company in Jerusalem, and I continue to learn in yeshiva part-time.”

Debbie Mishkin Swiatek, C’88, and her husband, Mike, are proud to announce the birth of their second son, Matthew, on May 12. The Swiateks currently live in Arlington Heights, Ill., with Matt’s older brother, Jacob.

Connie Blumenthal, C’90, has just completed her master’s in public health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has also just gotten engaged to Alan Rissberger.

Kerrianne O’Reilly Breig, C’90, and her husband, Warren, announce the birth of their first son, Reilly Thomas, on July 5, 1996. Before having her baby, Kerrianne was a children’s therapist for abused and neglected preschoolers. The new family resides in Dunmore, Pa.

Dr. Elissa Brown, C’90, e-mails that she “finished my Ph.D. in clinical psychology in August 1996 and am currently working as a post-doctoral fellow in child psychiatry and psychology at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, specializing in the area of child abuse.” She also e-mailed that: Dr. Heidi Dupret, C’90, graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and is presently a resident in ob/gyn at Cornell Medical Center in New York City. Michele Levine, C’90, is finishing her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. Rymsza in 1994, and they recently had a beautiful baby girl, named Maggie.

James Celentano, C’90, is a senior associate at Korn/Ferry International, an executive-search firm, working in the entertainment and media practice in New York, and specializing in search and consulting for music and Internet companies. He is also attending the executive-MBA program at Columbia University, and will receive his degree in 1999. James and his wife, Denise, live in Irvington, N.Y.

Brad Emmons, W’90, was married in March 1995 and promptly quit his job to go to graduate school. Emmo earned his MBA from the University of Tulsa last summer and is now working in the capital-markets division of the Bank of Oklahoma, concentrating in portfolio/interest-rate risk management.

Denise Pieczynski Hersey, C’90, married Andrew James Hersey on August 2; she is a librarian at Smith College in Northampton, Mass. The event was attended by Penn alums, Lisa Abendroth, C/W’90, Jean-Christophe Martignoni, C’90, and Eric Schwerin, C’91. Denise and Andrew currently live in Enfield, Conn.

Robert Checkoway, C’91, robbie@crix.demon.nl, moved from London to Amsterdam, where he has taken a position with an international television company producing wildlife documentaries in Southern Africa and distributing American series throughout Europe.

Carl Rodney Comegys, C/EAS’91, left the submarine force in August to pursue a MBA from Harvard. “I spent three great years on the USS Archerfish deploying twice to Europe and have spent the last two years teaching at submarine school in Groton, Conn.”

Dr. Richard Cross, C’91, and Julie Saul Cross, C’91, celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on August 15. “We have been living in San Antonio the last four years where Rich has earned his M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and I have earned a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University. Rich is a captain in the U.S. Airforce and has just started a psychiatry residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center. Jacqueline Kiang, W’91, returned to Philadelphia this September and is enrolled at Temple Medical School. She spent over three years working in independent feature film and television production right after graduation and recently completed a year of post-bac work at Scripps College in Claremont, Calif. She e-mailed she was “looking forward to returning to Philadelphia and taking in some football games at good old Penn.”

Michelle K. Napoli Schaaf, C’91, a state assessor with Dauphin County Aging, married Carl J. Schaaf, an electrical engineer in management with Bell Atlantic, on January 4. They live in Harrisburg, Pa.

Marc R. Wolf, C’91, is proud to announce that he has been appointed vice president of Motion Picture Development for Di Novi Pictures in Santa Monica, Calif., which is affiliated with Warner Bros. Prior to this, he was a development associate for Goldie Hawn’s Cherry Alley Productions at Disney. “This has been quite a departure for me since I dropped out of medical school in ’91, and I could not be happier.”

Darryl Anderson, EAS’92, wed Rhonda DeFlorimonte, W’92, on May 10 “in our nation’s capital.” The freshmen year sweethearts exchanged vows amid well wishes from Penn pals: Diara Holmes, C’92, Nicole Bell-Simon, W’92, Robert Elliott, W’92, Chuck Moore, EAS’93, Shelly-Ann Smith, EAS’93, Karen Wright Saunders, C’92, Iris Melendez, W’92, and Catherine Barnett Ferguson, C’92. The couple resides in Philadelphia.

Jonathan Blum, C’92, recently graduated from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University with a master’s degree in public policy. “I will be working as a program examiner for the Executive Office of the U.S. President in the Office of Management and Budget.”

Josephine Lee, C/W’92, married Joseph Lawrence Moore Jr., an equity analyst at Goldman, Sachs, & Co., on June 4. Among those attending the wedding were Martin Tornberg, C/W’91, Sandra Ehrenpreis Flaster C’90, Susie Hung C’94, Suzie Park Williams W’93, and Felix Lim, C/W’94.

John R. Lennon, C’92, and his wife, Rhian Ellis, write to announce the birth of a son, Owen Henry Ellis Lennon, on June 30. The couple are writers and live in Missoula, Mont.

Mary Wallace, C’92, and Dr. Aaron Donoghue, C’92, were married on May 31 in Valley Forge, Pa. Mary has just completed a master’s in elementary education at the University of Oxford and New York University; Aaron is a first-year resident in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Christopher C. Lee, C/W’93, finished law school at the University of Minnesota in 1996, and has joined the Seattle law firm of Gregory S. McElroy, PLLC, as an associate; he practices in environmental and land-use law and litigation.

Christine Arakelian, C’94, recently celebrated her first wedding anniversary with Brendan Ross, an American attorney she met while working at a law firm in Germany. She also finished her first year of law school at the University of Virginia, and is currently working in the State Department, actively pursuing a career in public international law. “I would love to hear from any old friends with whom I lost contact.”

Oliver J. Graves, C’94, and his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth Lewis, are engaged to be married sometime this winter.

Richard Leit, C’94, and Jaclyn Israel, C’93, were married in West Orange, N.J., on June 8. They are living in Alexandria, Va. Richard is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at American University. Jaclyn is working as a social worker in Washington, D.C.

Drew Pearson, C/W’94, and Shiva Sarram, C’94, were engaged in August and are planning their wedding for next summer. Drew is currently working for General Atlantic Partners in Greenwich, Conn. Shiva is working for Tiger Management in New York City.

Leigh Fisher, C’95, is attending NYU to obtain a master’s in social work.

Gilberto A. Siller, C’95, Washington, D.C., e-mails that after working for two years at Brintnall & Nicolini, Inc., a company that provides worldwide market research for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, he is pursuing a Master of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service; his expected date of graduation is May 1999.

Jason Straus, C’95, will marry Amy Leitner on June 7, 1998. He is a salesperson with Bloomberg Financial Markets in New York City.

Rebecca K. Graeves, C’96, e-mails that she is in her second semester in the National Security Studies program, a master’s program within Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Currently she is working as a staff assistant at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research in Washington, D.C.
