PennNYC. Do you want to make a positive impact on the city? Join us for an information session about PennPAC’s pro bono work for nonprofits and how you can volunteer on a consulting team or at a one-time high-impact event: on Tues., Jan. 19, 7—8pm at the offices of Duane Morris, 1540 7th Avenue. On Feb. 13, join us at noon for our second year participating in the international charity run Cupid’s Undie Run, “where a little crazy meets a lot of charity.” In New York, this is a 1.5 mile run along the Hudson River Greenway and Pier 84. It is all about fun and raising money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation, dedicated to research to end neurofibromatosis. We are planning a special performance with the Sarasota Opera Outreach Singers at the Sat., Jan. 16 luncheon (starting at 11:30am) at the TPC Prestancia dining room, when we shall honor Bill Grant W’49, emeritus trustee and former club president. On Sat., Feb. 20, the theater and lunch program will be a performance of the 90-minute play The Belle of Amherst with acclaimed New York actress Janet Davies in her award-winning role as Emily Dickinson. On March 14, join us in the box suite at Ed Smith Stadium for the Phillies-Orioles game. Phillies chairman Dave Montgomery C’68 WG’70 will greet us and kids can get autographs on the field with Phillies players.
