When we interviewed Dayton Duncan C’71 three years ago for a feature about his film with Ken Burns on the National Parks, he had already started working on his next project: a documentary about the Dust Bowl. On Sunday and Monday, Nov. 18 and 19, the film will premiere on PBS. The Dust Bowl chronicles “the worst man-made ecological disaster in American history,” says Duncan, who wrote the documentary and produced it with Burns, his longtime friend and collaborator. (He also wrote the companion book, which is being published by Chronicle Books.) We plan to be watching.
