The University has released architectural renderings for the design of Tangen Hall—Penn’s first dedicated space for cross-campus student entrepreneurship and innovation activity. Located on the northeast corner of 40th and Sansom Streets, the seven-story, 68,000-square-foot building will include incubator spaces, maker spaces, street-level “pop-up” retail spaces, and a test kitchen, while becoming the new home to several of the University’s longstanding entrepreneurship-focused programs and research centers. Developed by the Hankin Group, KSS Architects’ design for Tangen Hall offers a transparent view with a façade of precast concrete and shades of green glass. It is slated to be completed by fall 2020.
